In response to Pakistan's drone attacks in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, destroying terrorist launch pads near the Line of Control. The operation, executed on May 8-9, targeted hubs used for planning attacks on Indian civilians and security forces. Earlier, Indian air defense units intercepted and destroyed multiple armed drones over Amritsar.
