The Congress on Wednesday dropped Sanjay Nirupam from the list of star campaigners in Maharashtra and announced that action will be taken against him for his remarks against the party. The former Mumbai Congress chief had said the Congress should not allow itself to be arm-twisted by Uddhav Thackeray-led outfit after Shiv Sena (UBT) unilaterally announced 17 candidates.
