Nilgiris village in Tamil Nadu transforms into Iceland as minimum temperature drops to 0°C

As the biting cold gripped North India, a village deep in the southern region recorded temperatures falling below 0°C. Thalaikundha village, situated in Tamil Nadu's Nilgiris district, recorded a minimum temperature of 0°C on Sunday. The bitter cold gripping the village, located in the elevated regions of Tamil Nadu, prompted the residents, who were not accustomed to such extremely low temperatures, to hastily seek refuge indoors, disrupting normal life. Facing the harsh chill, the locals remained mostly indoors, as per sources.
